This is one of my faves off the album and another song that lifts my mood when it comes on, it’s hella braggy and all about how he and his mates are way better than your mates. Shame on your mates. Writing great crew/team/mates anthems is definitely on the long list of things that Drake does well. One of his best lines comes right at the start I reckon, ‘n***** with no money, act like money isn’t everything. I’m having a good time, they just tryna ruin it…’ The ‘good time’ part of that just always amuses me in a way I can’t really explain, except that perhaps it seems like a kinda childish thing to say, which makes it kinda awesome. But you know what my fave, fave, fave line of this song is? When Nicki Minaj goes, ‘fuck I look like ho? I look like ‘yes’, and you look like ‘no’. I remember reading on certain blogs people talking about how that was a weak line, but nah man, that line is fiyaaaa. Cos it is. And whut? I wasn’t much of a Nicki fan when she first came out, but this verse was definitely the turning point for me, cos she kills it hard. And her lil stuttery, ‘who, who, who looks at the price-tag’? bit is choice too.
