Stacking The Shelves #30: Half Bad Diamond Sisters

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted on Tynga’s Reviews. Basically you share what books you acquired that week whether it be physical or digital. Info here.

Hello my beautifuls! How’s your day been? Today, I’m here for a short and sweet haul. A massive thank you to Penguin Australia for sending me a review copy of Half Bad by Sally Green. I’ve heard very interesting things about it so hopefully I’ll love it. The Aussie cover is amazing because it’s black on one side and then white on the other. Another huge thank you to Harlequin Teen Australia for an ARC of The Secret Diamond Sisters by Michelle Madow. This one may sound familiar because it it’s actually been out in the states for awhile now. If you go to Goodreads and see the US cover, you’ll definitely recognise it.

A stunning, magical debut. An international sensation.
In modern-day England, witches live alongside humans: White witches, who are good; Black witches, who are evil; and fifteen-year-old Nathan, who is both. Nathan’s father is the world’s most powerful and cruel Black witch, and his mother is dead. He is hunted from all sides. Trapped in a cage, beaten and handcuffed, Nathan must escape before his sixteenth birthday, at which point he will receive three gifts from his father and come into his own as a witch—or else he will die. But how can Nathan find his father when his every action is tracked, when there is no one safe to trust—not even family, not even the girl he loves?
In the tradition of Patrick Ness and Markus Zusak, Half Bad is a gripping tale of alienation and the indomitable will to survive, a story that will grab hold of you and not let go until the very last page.

Savannah. Courtney. Peyton.

The three sisters grew up not knowing their father and not quite catching a break. But it looks like their luck is about to change when they find out the secret identity of their long-lost dad—a billionaire Las Vegas hotel owner who wants them to come live in a gorgeous penthouse hotel suite. Suddenly the Strip’s most exclusive clubs are all-access, and with an unlimited credit card each, it should be easier than ever to fit right in. But in a town full of secrets and illusion, fitting in is nothing compared to finding out the truth about their past.
