There is nothing like a good data visualization! I have been all over these
dialect survey maps by Ph. D candidate Joshua Katz from North Carolina State University, who examined the linguistics study by
Professor Vert Beaux and Scott Golder for the raw data. Isn't it fascinating? Corbett pointed out that the tip of Florida often mimics New York - evidence of migration, perhaps? :)
