Music Festival Outfit Ideas

Uhh, sorry for the lame photo editing.
Hey, I got another post for everyone and this time, it's gonna be about what to wear to music festivals. Hope you stick around for the five outfits that I have came up with, thanks to Polyvore.

I'm actually doing this because I'll be going to Carte Blanche 2013! It's an Electronic musical festival that will be held here in Davao on November 16. Only days left for this awesome event and the dilemma that most people that will go would be, what to wear? I know you guys have seen some outfits from music festivals from different countries but, come on, not everyone is daring enough to be so sexy or risque during an event like this. The outfits that I have compiled seem to be attainable and can be worn here in Davao considering the factors such as the tropical weather and the Davaoenos' openness to racy outfits, but I'm quite glad that somehow Davao is now opening up to the more playful side of fashion. I know that deep within us is a true fashionista since it's you who create your style, just you! Anyways, I should probably start (get ready for some lame outfit titles though. Nyehh).

1. Neutrally carefree

Ever since I saw a similar top like this on Romwe, I immediately thought of Carte Blanche! but by the time that I was about to place my order, it was not on sale anymore. Boohoo :( Nonetheless, I love how this crocheted lace blouse seem to be lightweight so that you won't be so sweaty when you are enjoying the festival. Pair it with tan shorts, a nice simple pair of sandals and some stacks of bracelets, and you are now ready to just prance the night away.

2. Sporty shorty
The athletic trend has been here for quite some time now and I'm loving it! The trainer shorts are comfy and rad and the football oversized cropped top too! Comfort is needed when you are attending festivals. The boots though, Oh gosh, they are so wicked! I wish I could have one, this won't be so hard to walk with since it has thick heels, but I think it will be quite heavy when you are jumping around (I don't know if you guys are like that..or is it just me?). So I guess you could just have your sneakers then, oh! and the beanie will make it all sickkk!

3. Badass indie babe
What can I say, an all black outfit never disappoints, it's the easiest to style, mix and match. A dress, bowler hat and a pair of badass DMs will be enough. Boots will protect you from the muddy mess that will be there when all the alcohol starts pouring (a klutz like me know that it is bound to happen). Better be safe than sorry! But I have to warn you though, since it is hot here in the Philippines, an all black outfit can be a little hot (makes you look hot figuratively, but makes you hot literally).

4. Black and White Lite
This is my most favorite set that I have made out of the five (biased eh, noh?). Everything on this set is what I want to be as my festival outfit, comfortable and stylish. I can't even explain any more further! So exciting! Although I know my outfit won't be even close to this, but ugh. The dream of soon going to Coachella, makes me giddy. Hahaha in my dreams, darling.

5. The usual with a twist
When we think of music festivals, we often see floral crowns, anything fringy or hippy stuff. Why don't we give that usual get up a twist? I thought that the shirt-tied-around-the-waist trend would be perfect with a floral cropped top and a tan skirt. These adorable geeky schoolgirl flats will up the ante and now just add the floral crown, the hippy bracelets and the fringe bag, you are now ready for Coachella! In my case, it would also be perfect for Carte Blanche because if the bipolar weather comes, you'll have your plaid shirt to keep you warm or you could just tie it around your waist when it's already hot. It's a win-win situation if you ask me.

There you have it! I hope you are inspired to try on some similar looks like what I have shown and just remember that you don't have to sacrifice comfort over style, you can be comfy while still being stylish. I'm sure it'll look awesome. Enjoy! \m/
