What’s In My Influenster XO VoxBox

In my latest Influenster VoxBox, the Beach Blonde products from John Frieda ended up being my favorites. They remind me of this peppermint shampoo the stylists used at the salon when was a little girl. I haven’t used that shampoo in fifteen years, but I’ve never forgotten it.

The Beach Blonde™ Cool Dip™ Purifying Shampoo and Smooth Seas™ Detangling Conditioner make my hair and scalp feel really clean, and also slightly tingly (in a good way). The Sea Waves™ Sea Salt Spray and Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment also worked really well for me. The volume treatment gave my hair a big boost.

Full disclosure: I’ve worked with Tide before on a paid advertising campaign. Tide Pods are great for convenience and ease of use. However, please take care to store them in a place that is out of reach for children or pets. These are the Tide Pods with Febreeze, which I didn’t like as much as the regular pods. The Febreeze ones have a very strong scent, and I just don’t like heavily fragranced laundry detergents. I definitely prefer light and airy, or fresh and clean scents.

I also received a sample of Skinfix Hand Repair Cream. I’m skeptical of hand creams (most are gimmicky), but this one turned out to be moisturizing without feeling too sticky. The skin on my hands looks less red when I use it, so the soothing ingredients seem to work. It’s actually been most beneficial to me on my desk at work– it’s fragrance-free, which I think is a good quality for products you’ll be using in a space with a bunch of people. You never know when you might send someone into a sneezing fit or bother someone with allergies. This hand cream is pricey at $17.99 for 2 oz (available at Target), so I’m not sure I would purchase it. It works very well, but I’m not sure I’d spend almost $20 on a small hand cream.

I haven’t used the Colgate Optic White products because I have a silver crown, and luckily I happened to read the ingredients before testing. People with silver fillings aren’t supposed to use products that contain hydrogen peroxide, so I want to check with my dentist first. I have an appointment soon, so I’ll be back with an update.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I like Influenster because I receive products that are a good fit for my interests and lifestyle. Want to join? Let me know and I’ll send you an invitation!
