Can I just be honest… I hate buying party supplies! They are expensive and can usually only be used once. I just don’t get it. Call me practical, but I would rather put the money into presents than buying a bunch of Spider-man decor (son’s current favorite thing). That being said, I fully realize a party isn’t a party without a little decorations. So, if I have to decorate I want something that is REUSABLE! Something like this Simply Created Chalkboard Banner.

The Simply Created Chalkboard Banner comes with all the supplies you need, is easy to put together, is so versatile and very cute. Which works out perfect for me, because I don’t feel like I’m wasting money. Whether it’s a birthday party or a graduation I can easily change the message to fit, and the fact that it is adorably cute will hide the fact that I’m a party decor scrooge.

The kit was very easy to put together! Like all chalkboard things it’s best to chalk it up before using, otherwise it just looks like black cardstock.

It came with several different pattern cardstock options for adding to my banner. I picked the one that looked most birthday party like to me, but all of them were so cute. As with all Stampin’ Up! products the colors coordinate. The colors used in the kit were listed in the instruction book. Which works out great if you wanted to do invitations or place card settings to match your banner.

It also came with several pom- poms that could be used. You just fluff out the layers, and tie it onto your banner.

I threaded each of my banner pieces onto the twine provided in the kit. I think I threaded mine a little different than most, going under- over, instead of over- under. I guess that is just a personal preference, or in my case just the way it happened.

I love how EASY this was to put together, I didn’t have to cut anything or pull out the paint. It was all right there and came together wonderfully. This is probably one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! product because of the versatility.
