Natural ways to keep your kitchen clean

The kitchen is an important room in every home, it is a place visited multiple times per day, a place we all try and keep spotless but while it is often easy to reach for the nearest spray did you know you could easily make natural and effective cleaners from ingredients you are likely to have around your home, as well as help to keep those items clean and fresh.

Oven
Is your oven looking a bit, well used? Then grab the baking soda make a paste like formula by adding a small amount of water, coat your oven in the paste and then leave it to work over night, the next day take a damp cloth to your oven and wipe away the dried paste – hopefully it some come away easily if not use a little elbow grease, follow up with a vinegar spray and then touch wood you should have a lovely clean oven.

Fridge Freezer
The fridge freezer is one of the worst areas for smells, so why not try and help keep them to a minimum by popping a little something extra in your fridge. Idea’s such as wiping the sides in lemon juice and then placing the slices in the fridge work well – but you have to remember to remove it before it goes off. For those liable to forget (like me) an open pack of baking soda or small dish of coffee beans will do just as well.

Washing Machine
For your washing machine you need to make a mixture of baking soda and water around 1/4 of cup of each this goes into the washing liquid / power part of your draw, you then need to add around 2 cups of vinegar straight into the drum. Pop your washing machine on a normal washing cycle and let the two mixes work their magic.

To be honest with you a paste made of baking soda and a dash of vinegar can work wonders on all manner of kitchen clean ups.
