Pop in a Box: Monthly Subscription

Pops! are one of the collectables of the moment, with prices starting at under £10s when it comes to retail price, rare and retired ones rocket in price into the £100s, for those lucky enough to own them.

Ash has become a huge collector of Pops! and one of the websites we use to buy from; Pop in a Box also offers a monthly subscription service, which allows you to receive between 1 and 6 surprise Pops! however this is a subscription service with a difference.

Where normally with such sign ups you leave yourself option to getting duplicate items or ones you wish not to collect, Pop in a Box has completely solved those issues (well as long as you don’t go on a shopping spree in the days before your subscription arrives).

You see Pop in a Box offers a collection tracker (you can see mine here), this allows the system to know what you already have in your collection and secondly it offers a thumbs up / down or neutral selection on all other pops.

This means the system not only checks which pops you already own but makes sure you don’t receive any you have thumbs down and you are most likely to receive ones you have thumbs up, however it possible to receive those that are neutral, depending on the stock they have in.

Each month, there is also a number of special items added to the send out – this includes one publicised item (this month sees a limited edition of 480 metallic genie being shipped to one lucky person) and a number of other “specials” often go out to lucky buyers.

For us this is the perfect mystery box as it means we do not run the risk of duplicating our current collection and we will definitely receive something we love. What’s more the owner of the website is a well-known figure in the Pop! community so you know you are dealing with a good guy.

The Pop in the Box subscription starts at £8.49 £3.50 postage (you save more on each pop the more you sub and if you are signed up to the subscription service you also save a small amount on store buys).
