Leather on Leather

I guess, I'm starting over and welcoming 2014 with this outfit that, with all my hopes high, defines my new year's resolution - that is to become bolder and edgier this year around, not fashion-wise though.

Another year has come and it traditionally calls for a brief recollection of the past, doesn't it? Well, 2013 in a nutshell has undoubtedly imparted me pocketful of experiences. It is merely about finding new roads and picking up the heavier kind of stones. It had led me to an utter realization that some things are not meant for me, and that ignited the spark in me to aim for better goals. It taught me how to achieve greater things without being too hard on myself. It taught me how to be independent in my own little way - how to stand up on my own, go anywhere with no one but myself - because that's what I've got from choosing a new path. It also taught me how not to be saddened by the fact that anyone else could be better than us, because at some point, we’ll realize that life is not about how better we are than someone, but it’s about how good we solely are.
Enough of 2013 because we are so over it! lol

There is something about the leather material itself that I love. Perhaps, it is its power to effortlessly give an outfit a "bam effect". Or perhaps, it is its versatility. Although leather can be too dressy for casual attire or for the mere purpose of malling, it however can be styled to form a classy monochromatic ensemble. And who would forget that it is a fundamental element for a (punk) rock fashion? And that - I guess - can be attributed to leather's strong appeal.

My all-time fashion icons - Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Lopez - are clad in leather on leather ensemble too.
Speaking of leather, I've got my faux-leather leggings from Aupie.com with synthetic fur liner to keep myself from cold. I love how it's so stylish yet so comfortable at the same time! Truth be told, part of my new year's resolution is to invest in clothes like this.
