COZY CORNER
Kotini yksi ehdottomasti mukavimmista paikoista (sängyn lisäksi) on tämä kuvissakin näkyvä sohvanurkkaus. Kuinka ihana onkaan kääriytyä päivän päätteeksi viltin ympäröimäksi, sytyttää pari kynttilää, ottaa läppäri syliin ja laittaa vaikka youtube-maraton pyörimään (yksi omista lemppareista iltapuuhista!)?
Sohvanurkasta vielä erityisen ihanan tekee kaikki sen omaamat pienet yksityiskohdat. Sohvapöytä on alkujaan Ikeasta (kuten muuten itse sohvakin), mutta omin kätösini tuunasin tylsännäköisen pöydän ihan uuteen uskoon marmoripäällystysmuovin ja messinki-sprayn avulla (tarkemmat ohjeet toteutukseen täällä). Pöydän päältä löytyy HAY:n marmoritarjotin, jonka sisältä puolestaan tuparilahjaksi saamani Twist & Tangon kultakynttilä sekä Jonathan Adlerin seepra-astia. Sohvan päällä oleva mohairinen viltti on Balmuirilta, kuten myös patterin päällä olevan tason huonetuoksu. Sealoelta saatu Coffee Guide -taulu oli oikeastaan tarkoitettu keittiöön, mutta majailee nyt väliaikaisesti hyllynpäällystä koristamassa (kunnes myöhemmin viikosta saadaan vihdoin taulukoukkua seinään!). Hyllyn päällä oleva hopeinen kynttilä on myös tuparilahja, alkujaan Tom Dixonilta ja messinkisellä sprayvärillä tuunattu lehtikori, josta Kanye ja Kim kurkistavat, on kotoisin Åhlensilta. Jestas, olipa tuotelista, mutta joku olisi kysynyt kuitenkin, joten faktat pöytään!
Sohvanurkkaus on tällä hetkellä varmastikin paitsi se kotini mukavin, myös kaikista eniten valmis osio yksityiskohtineen kaikkineen. Jotenkin se ottaa vaan kummasti aikaa, että kotiin löytää ne oikeat sisustusjutut ja saa ne paikoilleen. Etenkin jos kärsii oireista nimeltä “kallis maku”. Kunpa vaan sitä voisikin hankkia kaiken sen, mitä oikeasti haluaisi!
One of the coziest spots in my home is most definitely (in addition to my bed ofc) this cozy sofa corner seen in the pictures above. It’s just the perfect spot to snuggle in after a long day, wrap myself into the softest ever blanket, light some candles and cuddle up with my laptop watching a Youtube-marathon (one of my fave things to during my me-time in the evening)!
The thing that makes just this corner so special is all the details I’ve gathered in there. The side table is originally from Ikea (as well as the sofa itself), but I’ve DIY:ed it’s original boring outlook to a whole another marble & metallic look (how I did it, find out here). On the table I’ve got a marble tray from HAY and on it I’ve places a Twist & Tango candle I got as a housewarming present and also a little zebra dish from Jonathan Adler. The mohair blanket laying on the sofa is from Balmuir such as the room scent placed on the shelf over the radiator. That Coffee Guide -picture from Sealoe was actually supposed to to my kitchen but I still haven’t managed to drill it on it’s place so it’s staying in my cozy corner until then. There’s also another candle on the shelf, one from Tom Dixon. And then lastly the little basket holding my magazines in it is from Åhlens, although it was originally another color but I spray painted it with this golden tone that I alos used to the side table. Haha, I’m feeling like a product catalog when listing all the things like this but someone surely had asked anyways to here you have it all black and white!
In addition to being the coziest spot on my home, this one is also one of the most “ready” parts in my home. It takes such a long time ot find the perfect decor items and I kinda guess decorating your home is a bit of a forever process. Especially when you have the disease called “expensive taste”.. That can cause problems sometimes you know. I wish I could just buy everything I want, but it doesn’t really go that way!
