Notable New Releases for the Week of October 27, 2014

Hey and happy Monday, bookworms! This week One Day author David Nicholls is back with a new novel, and Alexander McCall Smith has a new addition to the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series; Michael Faber and Anne Rice have new sci-fi/fantasy releases, and in romance there’s new work from Mary Balogh and Nora Roberts. Stephanie Laurens also has a holiday story out, as do Brenda Novack and Tasha Alexander. In young adult Jenny Lungquist continues her Opal Mask series, and in new adult Cora Carmack and Abbi Glines have new work. There’s a lot of interesting nonfiction, including Amy Poehler’s Yes Please (yes, please!), Diane von Furstenberg’s memoir, and tributes to Maya Angelou and Maeve Binchy. As ever, last but not least, new in paperback are Andy Weir’s The Martian, Lorrie Moore’s Bark, and more!
