Boy or Girl!? Gender Reveal!

Hello! Yesterday, Jack and I attended the routine 20 week anomaly scan for our baby. If I'm being completely honest, while I knew that this would be our chance to find out the sex of our baby, I was more concerned with everything being OK so the excitement kind of took a backseat in the run up. What can I say? I'm a natural worrier! I laid there, with fingers crossed, as the sonographer checked that everything was well. Little one is perfectly healthy! and we got to find out whether we were having a baby boy or a baby girl! Are you ready to find out?

We're having a baby GIRL!!

The scan lasted a lot longer than it should have because she just wouldn't cooperate! I had to get up and walk about for half an hour in the hopes that bubs would flip over so the sonographer could continue taking measurements. Little one made it pretty difficult because she would not stay still (dance party!) and we had to wait about five minutes before she wriggled into a position where we could actually make out the gender!

Jack had been dreaming of our baby girl and I'd had an inkling ever since our first scan but almost everyone else had predicted that we were having a little boy! Once the predictions started flooding in, I was a little thrown so I had no idea what to expect when going into the ultrasound!

We nipped through to the supermarket afterwards and bought a silver gift box and a little stuffed toy (wearing a pink outfit!) to sit inside. We handed the box to each of our families to open together. Needless to say many hugs and happy tears followed! Now we're all focused on names and making lists of things that we need to buy!

We are both so overwhelmed with love for this little girl!
