Christmas Tree #3

This December marks our third Christmas living together! (Um, time? can you slow down please?) We decided it was time to mix up the Christmas tree decorations. I'm a very indecisive person and couldn't decide on whether to go down the traditional route like we did during the last couple of years, using the decorations we used on our first tree or to buy new decorations to match the decor in our living room because... it's nice to match things, right? right?

I somehow managed to convince Jack to go with a peach, white and silver theme for the tree and staircase garland, with the assurance that our front room wouldn't end up looking like Barbie heaven. I had to be super careful not to go overboard on the pink. I bought a beautiful crystal garland from a wedding supplier on eBay, successfully hunted down some vintage icicle decorations on etsy, found some sweet glittery deer in my local Tesco, hung my Harrods baubles and bought some surprisingly cheap yet good quality decorations from Asda. I'm still looking for some downy white feathers to dot around the tree and over my tables but besides that, it's pretty much done.

We put our tree up on the 1st December, as has always been the tradition in Jack's family as it is the day after his birthday. I'm really pleased with the results, it makes me feel peaceful! x
