Sunday

Good evening, everyone! How was your week? I've had quite a busy one!

• Jack and I are expecting a baby girl! We announced it on Tuesday in this post, the day after we had found out and done the rounds with the family. I can't believe that it has almost been a week since we found out! Thank you, thank you, thank you for leaving us some really lovely comments and messages! They do mean the world to us and I'm always left feeling very humbled that there are people out there that actually care enough to leave them.

• We went out to catch a late showing of Ant-Man on Wednesday night. We nipped into Starbuck's where I happily indulged in my second strawberries and cream frappucino of the week, woops! Jack bought me a hot dog with onions to sit and watch the movie with (making him the most amazing man, ever) and I brought the biggest scarf I could fit into my bag to use as a cushion for my back. The cinema was quiet and the film was awesome. Definitely a successful date night!

• I've been catching up on some long-time favourite reads this week! It's really nice to revisit the blogs that I've been reading for years. Sarah's, Sally's and Victoria's blogs have been on my reading list, recently. Do you have any must have reads to share with me?

• It was my mum's birthday on Friday so we popped over to hers for the evening with my little sister. I like us all being together, I wish we could do it more often.

• I've held back on updating ever so slightly as I was worried that I was bombarding this place with too much stuff. I did have another couple of posts to share this week but as a fellow blog reader myself, I know I'm less inclined to read a blog that updates too much because I get overwhelmed! I suppose this means that I am guaranteed to have content to spread over the next couple of months, unless the frequency of my updates don't bother you that much? I've never really considered what effect the frequency of posts has on readers, so it'd be interesting to hear your take.

• Jack and I started watching True Detective Season 1 yesterday and we're already half way through. It's brilliant! Not sure I'll be able to watch Season 2 as I'm already attached to these characters but we'll see! Only a couple of episodes left of Humans, too. We need to find a good, lengthy box set to get our teeth into.

• We visited Jack's parents today for Sunday lunch, can't miss a good Sunday roast! And spending time with their gorgeous doggies, too!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, I hope it's been a blissfully lazy one!
