#LittleLoves // Week 2

Happy New Year everyone. It’s been a little quiet here at Love From Mummy but i’m back and raring to go after a short break over the festive period. I haven’t made any New Years Resolutions this year, simply because i never stick to them, but i have set myself some goals for 2015 and one of them is to blog more regularly and join in with some new linkies.

The lovely Morgana at But Why Mummy Why is hosting #LittleLoves (formerly Love The Little Things) again this year, which is a lovely feature where you can share the little things that have made up your week. I’m actually a little late to the party and missed the first official #LittleLoves of 2015 last week so i am kicking off with week 2 instead.

Here are my #LittleLoves:

Read

I haven’t read any books lately but did read the latest Mother & Baby magazine this week. Technically my babies aren’t babies anymore but it’s always jam packed with useful articles and this month’s edition included a ‘4 Weeks To A Tighter Tummy’ feature – 10mins of daily gentle exercises to regain firmness and tone up! Seriously, how hard could it be? *cough cough* Joking aside, i am embarking on a life detox this year. Prior to motherhood, i was a skinny minny but 2 kids later and i am currently at my biggest and heaviest, 3 stone overweight to be exact. I had a lecture from the doctor about it again last week so it’s time for me to really knuckle down and lose the pounds. This mama is on a mission.

Watched

Scandal! Season 4 started last night – WOOHOO! Although if you’re impatient like me you’ll have watched the exclusive showing that Sky had available ‘on demand’ earlier in the week! I am hooked to this show and have seen most episodes at least twice, it is totally addictive and i just wish Fitz and Olivia would get together already.

Wore

I’ll be honest, i’m not happy with my body image at the moment and rarely take photos of myself so for this part of #LittleLoves i shall be sharing what Riley or Harry have worn. They are my mini fashionistas after all – when daddy asks where all of mummy’s money goes, i say your kids are wearing it! when the weight starts to come off and i’m feeling happier in my own skin, i’ll share some of me but for now it will be them. If you follow my IG feed already then you’ll know that i am a) a monochrome addict b) a lover of kids fashion . I love supporting independent shops/brands, both here in the UK and worldwide, they have so much more to offer than your typical high street stores and that’s where most of the boys’ clothes come from.

This week Riley has been rocking his Milk Thermal Top from Avenue G and leggings from Asher Crew

Heard

Harry learning new words. His vocabulary has exploded over the last week, he’s like a sponge constantly taking in everything around him and absorbing new information. New words this week include ‘Night Night’, Wayleigh (both boys call my sister Kayleigh this), Up, Down and Grandad. He’s also learnt to count to 10 which just astounds me.

Made

Breakfast smoothies! I’m usually one to skip breakfast altogether but they say it’s the most important meal of the day so in a bid to live a healthier lifestyle, breakfast smoothies are on the menu. Plus the boys are loving them too and it’s a sneaky way to get more fruit and veg in to them.

And Lastly

Riley started preschool today. He was literally so excited, he went running in without so much as a goodbye. Mummy on the other hand has been feeling a tad emotional about it all, not quite ready to accept the fact that my biggest baby is growing up and no longer needs me quite as much.

Have a great weekend all! I’m looking forward to seeing what all the other #LittleLoves bloggers have been up to!
