#LittleLoves // Week 3

I had so much fun joining in with this linky last week and found some nice new blogs to read too. It was great getting an insight in to what you’ve all been up to and thank you for all the lovely comments left here.

Here are my #LittleLoves for Week 3:

Read

Another goal of mine this year is to read more often with the boys. They both love books and Riley has such a wild imagination and Harry such an inquisitive mind that i want to do more to help them both reach their full potential. Each week i let them choose a new book and i read it to them every night before bed. This week we’ve been reading The Day The Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt. It’s illustrated by Oliver Jeffers and all i’ll say is that after reading this fun and playful story, we’re all using crayons in a whole new way.

Watched

Broadchurch! After reading everyone’s posts last week i felt compelled to watch the very first episode to see what the hype was all about. One word – EPIC! Subsequently, i have done no blogging or work this week and have spent most evenings watching the entire first series and the start of the second series. I am hooked and blaming you all entirely for my lack of productivity.

Wore

Sharing one of my mini fashionista again. When i think back to when he was first born, i hated all the boys clothes on the highstreet, still today i find them all using the same colours, styles and designs everywhere. I’m so glad that over the last year or so more independent brands have launched fashionable ranges for boys that are hip & trendy and don’t conform to the norm. I constantly get criticised for putting the boys in leggings, but when they look this cool, how can i not? Riley is wearing Storm Boy Leggings from Tobias And The Bear and Cute Graffiti Lightning Sweatshirt from Monkey McCoy.

Heard

Riley teaching Harry to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. It was quite literally the cutest thing i’ve ever seen. He was doing the little actions, dancing around the room and Harry just got up and started copying him. My heart literally burst with pride and melted in to a soppy mess. This was the reason i wanted more than one child, to have siblings so close in age – they have found a forever friend in each other and i love watching their bond grow.

Made

New friends. The good thing about Riley going to preschool, other than the fact it’s a great place for him to learn and socialise, is that i have made a couple of new friends too. For someone that suffers from social anxiety and usually keeps herself to herself, this is a HUGE deal. We’ve lived in this village for 6 months and up until now, i’ve only once ventured out in to the main highstreet. I’m hoping that this will be a new journey for me, as well as him.

And Lastly

I have accepted the fact that Harry is an adrenaline seeking daredevil who is determined to put me in an early grave. The kid has no fear, none whatsoever, he thinks he’s invincible and after numerous ‘incidents’ this week he is now sporting a grazed chin, a gash on his forehead and a rather fetching black eye.

Have a great weekend all! I’m looking forward to seeing what all the other #LittleLoves bloggers have been up to!
