Happy Mother’s Day!
With my mom last Summer on the 4th of July… to all the moms, like my mom, who did it all {and do it all} and make it look easy! Hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day today!
Being a mama to an old and handicapped fur baby is not always easy… and I’m not always as patient as I should be… but there is always love for Bebop. It should be noted that his daddy does most, if not all, of the hard work that comes with caring for him.
We had been watching the weather all week because it said there was a high chance of snow on Friday… which of course, we didn’t believe at all. However, everyone who has lived up here for longer than we have always says not to plant your garden before Mother’s Day because every now and then, it happens to snow on that weekend, and so it did.
Though the sun shone and melted all the snow away by Saturday, on Friday morning, it looked magical.
I woke up like this No seriously, I woke up at 6:30 am and was so excited to see the spring winter wonderland, I bundled up and went outside to walk in the snow and take photos and selfies, because it snowed so little last winter and how often do you ever get to see snow in the springtime in California? Like rarely, if ever. It was a first for me. And so it had to be documented.
Tried a bit of watercolor in this Lancome La Vie Est Belle bottle, which began as graphite on paper.

DIY Floating Hair Flowers… so pretty… pretty easy!
Inspired by this flower in a bottle to recreate it with pencils and colored pencils.
There’s more detail in the flower in person, which you can see a little bit here, while I was working on it.
