In July I took a two-day business trip to New York City. Travel isn’t as glamorous as it once was; layovers, line-ups, lost luggage—not to mention luggage fees. There are many reasons to carry-on.
During this trip, pieces from &go really came through for me. In between meetings, my itinerary covered yoga, brunch and an important business dinner date. With suitcase real estate at a premium, packing came down to what materials rolled and folded the best, and designs that were the most versatile. Each piece had to serve multiple purposes, mix and match with one another, and launder easily, if necessary (cold water in the hotel sink and hang to dry—how quickly our product dries never ceases to surprise me). I chose a minimalist colour palette of black, white and grey, and I accessorized with simple jewellery and rocked a bold lipstick color.
Four time zones and a very delayed flight mid-way across the continent later, I arrived at my hotel room and unpacked. By the next morning, the few wrinkles in my clothing had fallen out. As I kept up with the fast pace of New York City (in the heat of summer, no less), my clothing kept up with me. The technology of the fabrics kept me cool and dry as I ran from Uptown to Downtown and all the places in between, all the while feeling put together on the streets of one of the most stylish cities in the world.
Stylish, active travelers rejoice: keep calm, &go.
