Yorkville & The Ol' Alma Mater

Last week my best friend and I went to see Age of Adaline, which, although wasn't mind blowingly amazing, was still a film worth seeing if you love Blake Lively, and like movies with a good message and beautiful cinematography. Before the film, we wandered around my alma mater. Although my bestie although went to U of T, her college is on a different part of campus.
I'm at a point in my life where visiting my alma mater makes me really sad because I feel like my view of the world and the future was so completely different back then. In high school they told us university would be like the real world, but to be quite frank, that was a total lie. University was sheltering, comfortable, and pretty much like high school without the extreme pettiness. Either way, it's a gorgeous castle, isn't it?

Yorkville has been a favourite area of mine since I first started going downtown regularly. Actually, Yorkville is more midtown than downtown, but the terms get muddled. While I love the little streets, there is only one lane, and because it's so gorgeous, I wish there were more. It's a pleasure to walk down and see the cute little shops, the twinkle lights decorating restaurants, and the general atmosphere of extravagance.
