Review & LOTD: Chanel Les Beiges Collection 2015

Hi hi!

This entry will feature my top picks from the upcoming CHANEL Les Beiges collection. I personally chose the pieces which I am the most keen to try, and I am excited to show you what I have been testing out the past week. I will also try to provide comparisons where possible. Hope this entry will help you to edit your summer shopping list!

Bottomline?

If you have missed out on previous Limited Edition Les Beiges powders, if you like such complexion enhancers, you need to get this year's 'bronzey' Les Beiges healthy glow powder. I think they are very finely made, they give you good natural color on your cheeks, quite long lasting, and who can resist the chic and beige packaging?
If you like cream cheek products, but worried of sticky creamy stuff on your cheeks, I think the Sheer Color Sticks are worth trying out too. They are house in a sturdy metal casing, and great to throw in your bag for touch ups.

There are also a few glosses from this collection, but I am not really much of a lip gloss person, so I did not pick those to feature.

Full collection & preview information in this entry here.

Here are some close up pictures of the beautiful items:

The Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick reminds me the most of the NARS Matte Multiples (which I don't think they are available in Singapore, I have a few of those). These Sheer Colour Sticks are very velvety matte, and they have an almost powdery texture. Very easy to use and blend on powdered or non-powdered skin.
They seem vibrant when swatched like this, but once blended out, you get the sheer look which makes for very nice flushed cheeks.

and here, we have the inevitable comparison of the Les Beiges powders -

I noticed that the LE Les Beiges powders are more pigmented than the ones from the permanent range. I love my No30, and just naturally tan powders like these in general. They warm up my complexion very natural, not like a bronzer, nor contour.. they are just essential to have in my face routine.. cos i will dust it all over the edges of my face for a healthy warm glow.

comparison swatches:

and here is a swatch of the Lovely Beige vernis - a rosy nude shade that's very flattering. For best color payoff, I suggest 3 thin coats, instead of 2 thick-ish ones which might turn out uneven.

just a quick look at the eyes and lips - which aren't from this collection, but I will talk more about the eyelook in my CHANEL Summer 2015 coverage. Click here.

And the application of the face products:

A few words on the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet - I had purchased this much earlier on when it was first launched. I got mine in the shade B10, and it is a very nice lightweight foundation. It's like its counterpart, the Vitalumiere Aqua - which I love.. but this has more of a matte finish. It is a great basic foundation, and I do enjoy using it. If you like foundations that are quite shine free and lightweight, you will like this foundation. Be careful not to over-set this foundation with powder though.. because it will become cakey looking. That was a mistake I made initially. After that, I realise I can even get away with not setting the foundation.. or I have to use a brush to just lightly tap powder where needed.
