5-Second Cord Organizing Solution {Organize Everything}

Cords and wires. Wires and cords. My husband loooooves himself a cord and we have approximately 17 of every type. They drive me bananas, but until the entire world goes wireless we’re stuck with cord overload– so I might as well figure out a way to wrangle them. And I did. And you’re gonna LOVE it because it takes 5 seconds and costs less than a large box of Ziploc bags.

A few years ago I gave my husband a roll of Velcro cable ties in his stocking as a HINT. Let’s just say didn’t take the hint. I keep moving this roll from spot to spot until today I decided to see what they were actually capable of– and it was like WOAH.

See what they are? A roll of reusable cord ties that pull right off the roll. And they’re self-gripping. YES. SELF FREAKING GRIPPING. Nothing to tie or buckle or zip, you simply wrap it around the cord and BOOM. Plus an entire roll of 100 ties is under $6.

I took this:

to this:

in moments flat. Each cord takes under 5 seconds to wrap, so last night as dinner simmered I did some spontaneous organizing and wrangled those cords into our charging station before the sauce even started to bubble.

Check out them apples! All those overflowing wires are now tucked neatly into that drawer– and it’s hard to see, but it’s a VERY small drawer (it doesn’t go all the way back into the charging station). Now onto tackle the rest of the cords around our house. This is going to be awesome. All hail to the self-gripping cord tie!
