Do you like how I’m trying to make fruit infused water sound fancy by calling it a cooler? I think it’s just too pretty to be titled Fruit Infused Water, meh.
If you’re wondering what meh is, it’s something I do when I imitate boring and/or grumpy things. I just add it to the end of whatever I’m saying in the most annoying tone possible. I’m almost one hundred percent confident that’s the reason Brandon married me. He loves my meh.
So how do you feel about the strawberry basil combo? This is the first time I’ve tried it and I am definitely a fan. Even if it’s just water, the flavors are so refreshing together.
I added a little fresh lime juice to give it a subtle citrus kick and used soda water to jazz it up with a little fizz.
You could make it extra jazzy by adding some vodka OR you could go big and make Julia’s strawberry basil kombucha. Yeah, I need to get around to that pronto.
In the meantime, these coolers are a quick and easy option to have on hand for a refreshing drink. They’ll keep you nice and hydrated while your hanging out at home or at a barbeque with friends.
I only let the fruit infuse for a few hours before taking pictures but I recommend letting it sit for at least eight hours. It eventually turns a light shade of pink and the strawberry flavor really starts to shine. Mmm mmm good. Cheers to summertime!
