1980's SUMMER

This shoot was planned specifically for my vintage clothing line, but then I discovered this 80's backless swimsuit…and of course I got a little carried away, I had to shoot it. The model, Connie Wilson, thought I was joking, as it wasn't exactly 'swimsuit weather'…but I was determined to use it. The shoot was photographed on film to add a vintage effect, by the talented Katy Thomas and was located by a river, to make some connection to the styling. However, lucky for Connie we didn't make her swim in it, (although that would of been hilarious). I've been so obsessed with this hairstyle recently and really needed to involve it. I used velvet scrunchies in the hair, to match the black platforms, but I wanted to keep the accessories simple as the swimsuit is so bold!
