Moments of the Week

Ugh. It’s been a rough week. No one told me that when your toddler starts climbing out of their crib that it’s a total game changer. LOL!

So…let’s be safe and call it 7.5 hours total these past two nights. Of sleep.

Let’s all be civil adults and blame Cooper for no “Casual Friday” style post. It’s more fun to blame those who can’t give a proper rebuttal.

Speaking of crawling out of his crib…

“What the Golly?!” Moment

Cooper has a big boy bed now. He crawled out of his crib like a freakin’ Cirque du Soleil prodigy. So instead of fighting it we just gave him this bed.

He seems pretty proud of it. When Penny (the dog) jumps in it he’ll rush over and announce seriously, “No no Penny…dis poo-poo’s bed!!”

“Oh Golly” Moment

I guess it is time I watch what I say in front of this kid.

We have a neighbor who comes home at the weirdest hours of the day BLASTING house dance music in his car. Okay…so I can appreciate a freakin’ party…but I want to tell this kid “Um, hey kid. You live at home with your mom. I don’t care if you dance tables at the Wynn…you’re in the freaking suburbs. Simmer the heck down!”

But instead of saying all of that, I just call him a “DB” under my breath.

Well, that needs to stop apparently. Today we were in Cooper’s room reading all about the Little Blue Truck and we hear the stupid house music coming down the road. Cooper jumps off my lap races to his window looks up at me and points outside while he says “D…B”

I laughed so freakin’ hard but simultaneously admonished myself for being a bad mom.
