Selfie mania

Il termine Selfie sembra essere spuntato così, dal nulla, come quei nei mai visti prima che ti ritrovi improvvisamente addosso e che oramai faranno, inevitabilmente, parte di te!

Eppure pensate che il primo Selfie risale al 1913 e, come vanità vuole, fu una donna, Anastasia Romanov, figlia dell’ultimo zar di Russia Nicola II, a scattare con le mani tremanti una foto di sé stessa allo specchio. La ragazzina russa, allora tredicenne, ha lanciato quella che oggi è una moda e che vuole gli obbiettivi delle macchinette fotografiche, dei cellulari e dei tablets rivolti verso sé stessi.

Non sono più i paesaggi mozzafiato o gli attimi imperdibili ad occupare le nostre memory cards ma le bellissime facce che le nostre generose mamme ci hanno regalate.

E’ con Jim Carrey e il suo volto ricoperto dal nastro adesivo nel film “Yes Man”, che si entra però nella vera e propria era del selfie, ma non un selfie qualunque bensì il “sellotape selfie”, ovvero l’autoscatto che trasforma – anzi deforma – la faccia.

E magari ci fossimo limitati a questo, li avete visti gli ultimi selfie di Madonna?

Per fortuna a tirare le briglie del decoro ci pensano loro, le stars di Holliwood, memorabile lo scatto durante la notte degli Oscar 2014.

Ma ai selfie non resiste proprio nessuno e così anche Barack Obama, in occasione della cerimonia di commemorazione per Nelson Mandela, si è fatto un selfie con il primo ministro britannico e il premier danese.

Se un tempo Narciso si innamorò di sé stesso desiderando di contemplarsi attraverso le limpide acque di un ruscello, i selfie, oggi, al contrario, portano a farsi guardare a offrirsi agli altri, un modo per crearci e ri-crearci costantemente, attraverso lo sguardo altrui.
