Fashion plays a major part in my life. It would come as no surprise that I would be curious to stay at the world’s first fashion-branded hotel Palazzo Versace. My dream came true during my mini getaway to the Gold Coast!
The hotel is located right at the water edge. When I walked through the entrance, I couldn’t help but gasp and admire the opulence of the interior. There was marbles, mosaics, beautiful furnishings and ornaments everywhere I looked. It all added to the ambience of the hotel. It took me back in time to memories of my travels to grand hotels in Europe.
It was an easy choice between going out to explore or relaxing at the hotel. You can probably guess my choice. I spent most of my days lounging on the poolside cabanas – I wanted to make most of the sunshine.
An interesting fact about Southern Queensland, it is one of the only places in Australia that shines all year round (300 days of sunshine per year).
