A few years ago, I found myself having the time of my life in Los Angeles, CA. I wanted to share my experiences but realized that I didn’t have a creative outlet. A few months after the trip, I found myself getting depressed. From the stress of graduate school and work, I was losing my mind. When I started therapy, my therapist always told me to find a creative outlet to keep me distracted on days where I was at my lowest. When I told her that I had a blog, she told me to start sharing my experiences with depression, anxiety, emotional binge eating, mental health, wellness and anything else I wanted. And since that day, I started to use Memories & Words to share my personal experiences in hopes others can realize that they are not alone. I know that feeling and would never want anyone else to experience it.
