So excited to be working with Her Fashion Box again! They're an Australian-based fashion subscription box, but they also have a shopping section here :) This dress was perfection the first time I saw it on the site. I can never resist a beautiful digital floral print, and this dress is flattering and figure-hugging in all the right places but still elegant and sophisticated enough for formal functions.
I never knew grey and violet could make such a perfectly pretty match- and I accessorised with a grey faux snakeskin clutch and this gorgeous necklace gifted from Arva. The muted grey and white crystals are so dainty and lovely, and makes for the perfect statement necklace without being tacky and overbearing.
I've been doing a lot of indulgence this past month! People who know me (who know me well that is, and know about all my responsibilities) are telling me I need to give myself a break, that I work too hard, and I don't reward myself enough. And now I finally believe it! So I got a manicure for the first time in my life a few weeks ago, I've been trying lots of expensive treats (money and calories, bah), buying expensive clothes (luxury bags and $400 suede boots anyone?), and I'm even thinking about where to go for my next holiday, which I haven't been on for about 4 years. And a holiday that doesn't involve me just following my mum and holding her bags as she goes shopping (like my last one lol). I have to say it has been really hard to let go of all the restraints that usually confine me, especially money and calories when I have a hefty mortgage and I gain weight so easily lol. But little by little I'm trying to enjoy life a bit more....and it's been great so far! :)
