Review: Neals Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm

Lately I've been on a mission to find natural skincare alternatives that work for me. I'm done with using horrible chemicals on my skin. My diet is full of natural abundance, it's about time I changed up the products I put on my skin on a daily basis. And there's no better place to start than with a Neals Yard cult product. This is actually the first product I've tried from the brand, but is it the door to a new obsession? You'll have to keep reading to find out!
// var _gaq = _gaq || (); _gaq.push(('_setAccount', 'UA-37824282-1')); _gaq.push(('_trackPageview')); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')(0); s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })(); //
As always I've included a summary at the end :)

The Basics Neals Yard pride themselves on producing natural, organic and effective products, who wouldn't want that? The Wild Rose Beauty Balm* is one of the more multi purpose products, the card I received with it actually lists 10 uses including, nail balm, sunburn relief, mask, cleanser and heel softener. The list goes on! It is 99.2% organic containing Rosehip Oil, Shea Butter and Jojoba Seed Oil among other ingredients. It's also worth noting that it contains Beeswax, so is not vegan. This comes in a 50g glass jar for £37*. How beautiful is the special edition 10th Anniversary packaging!

What did I Think? I haven't been using this for every possible use it claims and to be 100% honest I don't think I ever will. But I've been using it a few ways and have some definite opinions to share with you. One thing worth noting is that this isn't water soluble, so I've found I need to use some kind of foaming cleanser to remove it. Which yes means I've been using this to remove my make-up for which it works beautifully, whilst being gentle. I've also been using this as a heel balm and lip balm, which it works well as - it's very hydrating. I wouldn't recommend using it all over though as it can be a little greasy, but it is very hydrating so does make a very effective moisture mask for those with dry skin or a winter perk up for all.

The Good - Natural, 99% organic, non GM, Paraben, mineral oil and synthetic fragrance/colour free, hydrating, lots of different uses.
The Not so Good - A little pricey, not water soluble (this may not be an issue for you, I just find it easier when products are).
Price & Availability - £37, Neals Yard Remedies.
As I'm a complete newbie to NYR I would love it if you let me know what your favourite product is from them in the comments, I need some recommendations!
