If you follow me on instagram you already know that last week I took a very spontaneous trip to Napa Valley with two girlfriends. Ranu from Lanuchan, who you’ve see in this “How We Styled It” post and I have been friends since high school so when she and her friend Megan were taking a road trip up the coast from San Diego to San Francisco I was beyond ecstatic that I was able to join them for a part of their trip. In Napa we did what you should do in Napa, we ate and we drank. There was a little sunbathing in the mix as well…but mostly food and wine. If you are heading to Napa Valley anytime soon I have some recommendations so read on!

Cakebread Cellars is a great place for a tasting. Their wines are delicious and their grounds are beautiful! For $15 you get to try 6 different wines in an intimate, unpretentious setting.

If you are looking for a rich and wonderful meal, I would go to Thomas Keller’s Bouchon in Yountville. I personally recommend the duck appetizer and lamb entree.

Gott’s Roadside is freaking unbelievable. When Napa starts getting too expensive and you realize you would rather have a chill night than another 3-course meal you head to Gott’s for what are the best burgers and milkshakes I have ever had. OMG and the onion rings!!!

Oh, I am sorry…is this a fashion blog? We’ll get to that too but right now we’re still on FOOD!

The Model Bakery in St. Helena has the best english muffins I have ever had. I don’t even like english muffins but these were so good we went two mornings in a row. Actually everything we ate from the bakery was mouth watering and if we stayed in town one more night we would have gone again!

I think I’d be right to say Napa Valley is not known for their nightlife but one night we went to this dive bar in Calistoga called Susie’s. We played some pool, drank some whiskey, sang to Shania and met a cool local. It was great!

If you are looking for a place to stay in the region I really enjoyed the Meritage Resort & Spa. The rooms were nice, the staff friendly and the pool area was terrific. It had a very Tuscan villa vibe and was a wonderful place to lounge, especially since I had a 7 hour drive there!

Okay, so onto le fashion. I wore this sweater before in this “Lime & Leopard” post and if you look back you can obviously tell it’s quite different. I shortened the sweater to make it a crop top and cut off the sleeves so now it is short sleeved! I was going to toss the sweater but then decided to try and convert it first and now I love it! It was the perfect addition to this dress for an extra pop of color and to keep me warm when the wind picked up!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! If you’ve been to Napa before let me know your favorite places below! And as always, if you like what you see here follow me on instagram, twitter, and bloglovin’!

Cheers to fashion, seeing the world and always having fun!
