Everyday Wardrobe Essentials: Part 2

Happy Tuesday! Last week I shared with you all part one of my everyday wardrobe essentials. They were pretty basic, but some of the most versatile and classic pieces that will get worn time and time again.

Today, I will share part two with you! Some of these are more recent adds. Of course, as my style changes and evolves, so do my tastes. For the most part though, I tried to stick to the basics! Enjoy!

CASUAL SNEAKERS

A recently added item to my wardrobe essential, I can't live without my casual sneakers! Most of mine are slip on and are just easy to toss on last minute. Being that they come in so many different colors and patterns they are a fun item to add to your wardrobe. Something as simple as floral or metallic sneakers take your outfit up a notch in an effortless way.

TRENCH COAT

I know this is something that I have been talking about a lot over the last few weeks, but I am telling you- get a trench coat! I have worn my so much over the last couple of months. I feel like no matter what I am wearing, no matter how awful I may look, if I toss on my trench coat, oversize sunglasses and lipstick, I look instantly put together.

UTILITY JACKET

Another piece I can't live without. This is such an easy addition to any outfit and can easily complete a whole look. The army green color to me, is a neutral. It pairs well with a lot of colors and looks great with prints. I love the easy, comfortable feel of a utility jacket. It dresses up a graphic tee and jeans, which is how I like to wear mine a lot. Utility jackets also look great over dresses-leaves them feeling less formal.

DENIM JACKET

Besides my utility jacket, my denim jacket is probably the next most worn item in the warmer months. Like a utility jacket, it can complete your outfit and is more than just a functional piece of clothing. To me, a denim jacket can be more of an accessory than anything. I love pairing mine with dresses, although they look great with just about anything.

TOTE

Find the right tote, and it's like Mary Poppins' bag! Never ending and full of surprises. I personally love totes (and large bags of the like) because they hold so much. I don't like to carry a diaper bag, so mine serves as double duty. I like to have a bag that is roomy enough to hold all of my essentials as well as a few diapers, wipes and some snacks. I know a lot of women that use their purses as work bags- another great reason to invest in a tote!
