In 1897 Andrew Carnegie made Charles M. Schwab (35 years old) president of Carnegie Steel.

Schwab was paid one million dollars a year ($27,162,384 in 2013 dollars) to manage Carnegie's business mainly because of his great ability to motivate people.

Schwab said, “I consider my ability to arouse enthusiasm among the men, the greatest asset I possess, and the way to develop the best that is in a man is by appreciation and encouragement!”

We appreciate your friendship and your desire to live financially responsible lives!
