Today I’m sharing a party favor for General Conference! This one is not sugar-related (amazing!) and it’s meant to encourage taking notes while listening to the sermons during conference weekend. I think it works really well to encourage note taking, but it’s also great because you can stick these notes in your journal, on your mirror, or in your scriptures to really remember what you learned and felt during conference.
For some reason this project screams “Young Women” to me, but it would definitely work for Young Men, Seminary, Relief Society or your Primary class.
To put together this party favor, pick up three pads of Post-it notes at your big box store (Target, Walmart) or office supplies place like Staples or Office Depot. You need one that is red, one that’s yellow and one that is green. Mine were hot pink, neon green and yellow, which is more typical of the Post-it notes that are available and I think those colors work great.
Then print the tags, below, tie them up with a little string and you’re all set! I couldn’t help myself and I added some washi tape to the borders. But seriously, very cute and just as effective without the tape. For the Young Men? Don’t add the tape
The tags are designed to be 4 1/4 inches square. You’ll cut your page in half lengthwise (hot dog) and then cut each square at 4 .25 inches. Make sure you eyeball what you’ve printed before you cut them–every printer is a little different.
