Question of the Week: What’s your favorite beauty pick-me-up? New fragrance? New lipstick? New nail color?
I am going to take this opportunity to talk about a lot of my current beauty pick-me-ups. I have had a lot of new things come across my desk this last week (errr… month) and I have been wanting to give them a lot of my attention, just haven’t had the time between certain other projects. I have been using them and loving them, just no time to really talk about them. I may make this a weekly segment where I talk about a lot of fun stuff, or I may just trickle them in when I have enough things to mention in one post. Who knows! My life is crazy right now with the move coming up.
The Body Shop has a Wild Argan Oil line that smells DIVINE. Not only does it smell amazing, but my skin feels so good after using all the products in conjunction with one another. The Wild Argan Oil Rough Scrub is probably my favorite out of the products I got. It has scrubby bits that are suspended in a gel like substance. I follow that up with a Shower Gel and then the Body Lotion. Spritz on a little Body Mist and I smell like heaven for the whole day.
Laura Mercier had some recent releases as well and I have a Creme Smooth Lip color in Brigitte and the new Paint Wash Liquid Lip Color in Red Brick. Both are amazing and completely different. Brigitte is when I wanna go for that natural bombshell look and Red Brick is perfect for those ridiculously seductive looks.
I have been using the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5 in 1 Styling Treatment for a month. The company sent me 3, 1 for me and 2 for my readers so I am going to choose two winners from the comments in this post. It smells AMAZING, just like all of the other products from Living Proof. So, don’t forget to leave me a comment telling me what you love about the spring. I just put a little on my finger tips and smooth it through my hair when its damn and use it as a leave-in or take even less and run it over my flyaways. It also provides heat protection and volume.
Tarte Cosmetics has been coming out with tons of great stuff lately and I am obsessed with all of it. There is a new Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Tinted Finishing Powder (say that three times fast), an Amazonian Clay 12 hour Blush in the shade Celebrated, Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette, Maracuja Neck Treatment, and Lipsurgence Lip Tint in Glitzy. All of these products are so beautiful and flattering in a natural way. I recommend EVERYONE to check out their spring line.
Clumps of Mascara – is running! Literally. The Iron Girl Clearwater race is in April and I can’t wait to run, walk and wog my way to the FINISH line.
