Discount Tire
I sound like a broken record lately, but I am moving THIS WEEK from FL to WA. It is quite possibly the furthest inside-the-continental-US move possible. It sounds kinda fun when you first think about it. You know, adventure and all that. The truth is, while I am super excited to try something new the preparation and the unknown is pretty scary. On top of scheduling movers and storage units I also got my car prepped and ready for the drive at Discount Tire to ensure that my tires were up for the challenge.
I took my car up to Discount Tire and had them install 4 brand new Bridgestone Drive Guard tires. When I was talking to the manager of my local store he explained to me that these tires are engineered to drive 50 miles at up to 50 MPH on a flat. That is pretty amazing. I can only imagine how many stretches of highway there is between FL and WA that will be deserted. The peace of mind knowing that I can drive 50 miles on a flat is priceless.
I have actually been in a situation before where I was driving at night with my mom and best friend and ran over something that caused a flat. It was probably the scariest thing I have ever been on because we were stuck on the side of the road at 3am with not a clue what to do. We fumbled with the spare for what felt like hours until we had it on there. We drove 20 miles up the road and had a professional tighten up the wheel and made sure everything was in place. That would have never had to happen if I had these Bridgestone Drive Guard tires!
After my tires were installed I was chatting with the guys over at Discount Tire and he explained to me that I can come back in for a free tire rotation and balancing for the life of my tires. THAT is pretty awesome. I told him I was moving across the country and he was nice enough to help me find where the Discount Tire stores were located in my new area. I have used Discount Tire before this specific trip and I have to say that I am 100% impressed with their customer service. Everyone has always been so nice and helpful.
