// I’ve gotten requests about making a blog post with hairstyles for May 17, National Day of Norway. Personally I love braids, and there’s soo much to be inspired by! But sometimes it’s not so easy to do yourself – at least not on the first try. Fortunately, there are the very many good tutorials on Youtube. Otherwise I think a fishtail braid is very nice – and it’s super easy to do! I begin to create one braid just below the ear on one side. When I’ve finished the braid, I loosen parts my hair (which is layered) and create one more, starting higher on the head. This one I attach into the second braid at the back of my head. If you think it looks difficult, you have to check out this video! It shows very simply how to do it and you don’t even need mirrors to achieve a good result. I recommend adding texture in advance, and I usually use saltwater spray before I blow-dry it, and then I love to use Sky High Volume Dry Shampoo by Toni & Guy, which gives volume and makes my hair much easier to work with. When the braid is finished I set it with Firm Hold Hairspray! I use a small rubber band at the bottom, simply because I think it looks best. You can also wrap a small section of your hair around the rubber band and fasten with a hairpin
