Looking Forward to Autumn

This week in NYC has felt like summer’s victory lap. We got away with it being not too humid or hot all season, but now it’s like mid-July decided to pop back in for a visit. I love summer and am sad to see it go, but I’m also looking forward to new adventures that fall always brings. New York is also at it’s most romantic during the fall months. Everything is crisp, and people are excited to enjoy the last bits of sunshine and cool, fresh nights.

Here are a few things I’m looking forward to this season:

• Chunky knit sweaters, beanies and floppy hats
• Homemade donuts and pumpkin everything
• Hot cider after a filling dinner
• Football with friends in crowded, rowdy bars
• Training for the marathon without the humidity (and running it for the first time ever!)
• Crock-Pot cooking
• Eric Church concert at MSG
• Traveling to San Francisco
• Black tights and boots
• Nights cozy under a blanket with blogs and hot tea
• Living right above the Halloween Parade in the West Village
