What I Wore
Mad For Plaid
Let’s just ignore the title of this post, k? I mean it’s hard to come up with fun titles and my mind is still half asleep from fashion week. Anyway, pattern mixing can be a tricky thing. You can’t just throw on any patterns together without some careful thought because you could end up looking like a crazy person. Plaid happens to be one of my favorite patterns - maybe it’s because of all those years I spent in my Catholic school uniform - but somehow it’s crept it’s way into my style and stuck. When pairing my two plaids for this look I chose pieces with different scales and subtle variations in color. This way it doesn’t look too busy and it makes the pattern mixing work, yeah?
In other news, Dustin has finally almost fully recovered from his appendix surgery so this was our first shoot together in a few weeks. So happy to have my man back in business with me! Thanks to all of you who’ve been sending well wishes his way.
