Comfortable Christmas: Rope Tree Centerpiece

For this year's comfortable Christmas, I'm doing the house in neutral colors, with natural fibers and different textural elements. In coming up with the centerpiece for our table, I wanted to combine all of those elements in one small piece. These trees collected on a white square dish with some tipped pinecones and cinnamon sticks turned out better than I had envisioned!

Like most of my crafts, this is super cheap and very simple. You'll need:

• Styrofoam cones
• Straight pins (I used pearlized heads so that you can seem them, but I recommend using dressmaker's pins since they are harder to see)
• Various cords, ropes and/or twines
• Additional laces or other embellishments to use for garland

For the tree topper you'll need

• Two paper stars (I used a star punch I picked up at the craft store)
• Toothpick
• Doublestick tape

The rest is easy!
