Sweater: Self-made//Shirt: J.Crew Factory (similar)//Jeans: Levi’s//Shoes: J.Crew Factory
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Last year, I was your obnoxious valentine; this year, I went for a more subtle take on the theme. Mostly, I just wanted to wear this sweater that I just finished. It’s my first colorwork piece and I am a bit obsessed. Some dear friends brought back the grey yarn from Iceland, so I thought it was only fitting to use it in an Icelandic style sweater. This was so fun to knit, and it is warm and cozy on this nasty rainy/snowy day here in Boston.
Sweater Details
Pattern: Skydottir from Brooklyn Tweed
Yarn: Grey is an Icelandic wool, burgundy is Berroco Ultra Alpaca in Lobster Mix
Alterations/Changes: I did some creative alterations to the sizing, casting on the body halfway between the 37.25″ and 41″ sizes then added some extra decreases to the waist shaping to bring the sweater to the 35.5″ size by the bust (I did this to accommodate my wider hips. If you want to see the details, check out the project post on Kollabora.)
