24 Hours with Mickey Schiff

Something a little different today, not me in front of the lens, but it might as well have been, at least in terms of fashion ;) I had the pleasure of styling indie rock star Mickey Schiff of White Arrows for an exciting 24 HOUR adventure, profiling a day in his fast-paced life. Crisscrossing the city to meetings, ping-pong matches, and recording studios, with DETAILS in Emporio Armani! Let’s talk about what’s happening here:
The Emporio Armani watch in turquoise makes a strong statement, and I wanted to highlight the color by having Mickey wear an otherwise achromatic look. I’m all about those pops of color, and the turquoise one was definitely the strongest one. As for the look itself, achromatic does not have to mean simple: the grid-pattern on the sweater is sure to turn heads, and together with the backpack and the shorts really conveys a sporty vibe.
Mickey is the ultimate ‘cool guy’ — the red and blue Emporio Armani watch is a great companion for adventures by day or night. The watch works perfectly with the rough feel of the jacket, and the understated elegance of the emerald shirt underneath. The blue on the watch alludes to the color of the pants, while the pop of red adds an extra bit of interest to the overall look.
But the guy doesn’t only drink coffee and hang out at SPiN playing ping pong (awesome spot for that in the city by the way!), he’s an artist with a unique sense of style who can easily pull off something like a bordeaux blazer. The grey Emporio Armani watch is a great complement here and functions as a nice balance for the printed pants. They add a little more interest to the surface through the subtle pattern, but the dark color keeps them from feeling ‘overdone’.
Last but not least, we caught him spinning some tracks at the SoHo house, back in the leather jacket, but this time we’re going a
step further with a pattern-on-pattern combination that puts the spotlight on the Emporio Armani watch.
