Ok. So on to the Trick or Treat Popcorn Bars….These tastebud ticklers are pretty tricky and obviously are jam packed full of treats! At first glance you might think they’re the classic Rice Crispy treat…But oh no no they are much more than that!

They’re chocolaty, sweet, salty, peanut buttery, popcorny treats.

Make these for the office Halloween Pot-Luck or send ‘em off with your kids for their Halloween Dress up party… Or make them and hide in the closet and eat them by yourself. I did. A girl has got to do what a girl has got to do.

Trick or Treat Popcorn Bars

Popcorn…Marshmallows…Reese’s Pieces…White Chocolate Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Ghirardelli Chocolate Chips and Salt. NEED I SAY MORE? Didn’t think so.

Lets get Trick, Trick, Tricky.

INGREDIENTS:

12 Cups Brown Bag Popcorn {Popped} I popped it in 2 batches 6 Tbsp. each bag.

4 Tbsp. Butter

1 Bag Marshmallows

1 tsp. Salt

1 Cup Reese’s Pieces

20 White Chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups~ Mini’s

¼ Cup Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Chocolate Chips

¼ Cup Reese’s Pieces for topping.

HOW-TO’S:

Grease a 9×13 baking dish

Pre-Heat oven to 250°F

Roughly Chop the White Chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Pop your Brown Bag Popcorn, I had to do mine in batches. You could use premade popcorn but I’m not sure how it would affect the flavor of the treats. My guess…It’ll be ok.

In a large pot melt the butter over medium-high heat and smear a little on both sides of your spoon/spatula.

Add your marshmallows and stir until melted.

Add the salt

Stir in the popped popcorn.

Sprinkle in the ½ cup of Reese’s Pieces and continue to mix. Beware…the popcorn gets really sticky and this isn’t easy!

Transfer the popcorn mix into the baking dish and Sprinkle the chopped White Pb cups over top.

Pop the dish into the oven just long enough to melt the white chocolate.

Remove once it’s nice and melty

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave And using a spoon drizzle in swirly motions over the popcorn. It almost looks like spooooky spider webs.

Top with the remaining Reese’s Pieces.

Cover and place it in the fridge until the chocolate hardens.

Once the topping is nice and hard remove from the fridge and cut into bars. Make 5 cuts by 4 cuts creating 20 pieces. They’re pretty thick, so you’re not missing anything in a smaller piece.

Serve

and ENJOY!!!

Make sure you store the remaining bars in an air tight container. They will get very hard if not!
