OPI: Spring/Summer 2014 Brazil Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Looky looky what I’ve got for you today! Another glorious Spring collection! OPI’s much anticipated Brazil collection, to be exact. I’m so excited to show you these beauties!

“Amazon…Amazoff” is a gorgeous teal creme with a very very slight silver sheen to is. I couldn’t see it at all in the bottle so it was a pleasant surprise to see it on the nail. It gave it a little something special. Really great formula. 2 perfect coats.

“I Just Can’t Cope-acabana” is a bright but muted yellow creme… if that makes sense. It’s definitely bright but not as in your face as a lot of yellows are. It has this pretty softness to it. It’s beautiful, I love a good yellow. Pretty great formula, especially for a yellow. I did 3 coats over a ridge-filling base coat.

“Where Did Suzi’s Man-go?” is the star of this collection! It’s such a unique shade of orange that I’ve never seen in a polish. The best way I can think to describe it is bright cantaloupe! The color is superb. Hats off to OPI for creating such a different and unique shade! 2 coats.

“Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around” is a pale putty colored creme. People are already buzzing about and saying this is the new “My Vampire Is Buff” which has been a cult favorite. I’d say, it definitely looks promising! I love this one, that’s for sure! 3 coats.

“Kiss Me I’m Brazilian” is a pretty bright medium pink creme. Nice formula and coverage. 2 coats.

“Live.Love.Carnival.” is a dark true coral creme. Really awesome formula and coverage is perfect. 2 coats.

“Toucan Do It If You Try” is a coral creme that leans orange on the coral spectrum. Perfect polish. 2 coats.

“Taupe-less Beach” is a pretty light taupe that leans to a grayed out purple tone. I couldn’t capture this color very well for some reason… it’s a little more taupe looking than it shows here. Very sophisticated. 2 coats.

“I Sao Paulo Over There” is an elegant purplish-brown gray. Pretty and complex. 2 coats.

“OPI Scores A Goal!” is a beautiful raisin colored creme. Very unique and I love the way it looks against my skin tone! Perfectly creamy formula. 2 coats.

“Red Hot Rio” is a true red polish with a jelly-like formula. You can see a bit of a VNL (visible nail line) with 2 coats but I didn’t mind so I left it at that.

“Next Stop… The Bikini Zone” is a pewter to purple duochrome with purple, bronze and gold shimmer. Pretty and subtly sparkly. Although this polish is pretty, I find it a little odd in this collection. Seems like it would have been better suited to a Fall collection but of course, that’s just my opinion. 3 coats.

I’m really impressed with OPI for doing something bright and fun and really capturing the essence of Brazil. A bright array of colors is just what I like in a collection.

OPI polishes can be purchased at professional salons including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, Ulta.com and Ulta as well as a lot of other retailers and online. Don’t forget to follow OPI on Facebook for all the OPI news!
