This skirt was one of my after-Christmas sale purchases ~ it was tucked away on the clearance rack & just happened to be the the only one left in my size (plus an extra 25% off)...clearly meant to be. Having just completed a massive closet clean-out over the holiday, I recognized the need for more special clothing pieces. While basics are the fundamental building blocks for a versatile wardrobe, I also believe it's important to have a few unique, stand-out items (like an embellished blouse, sequin skirt or velvet blazer). Though I wouldn't recommend spending a fortune on these pieces (because you won't wear them with high frequency), it's good to keep a "wish list" handy & look for them during end-of-season sales.
