a long pencil skirt

tried and true styles that will always have a place in my closet: fit and flare; peplum; shift dresses; cropped pants; and, midi skirts. once in a while though, i take a gamble with a new shape entirely. going past the knees, this pencil skirt is super interesting in the length. i adore the print and the way it feels. the pattern and the fit are slimming and elongating.
i suppose that i could hem the waist a bit to raise the skirt to mid-calf or i could wear it just like this, as an exaggerated length and own the length. whether it was a good gamble or not, there are many possibilities for this skirt and i'm looking forward to experimenting with it. next up with it: a peplum top? i'd love to hear your suggestions! joining tara's and alice's linkups today!
