DIY Wellness Tea Bar

Fall is here and that means it’s time for Friendsgiving! Seeing all your friends over the holidays is great, but after all the traveling and all the eating, it can be hard to realign your body back to status quo. Yes, that huge pile of roasted turkey was mouth-watering, but now you feel lethargic and sleepy. A big dinner doesn’t have to slow down your Friendsgiving celebrations. We teamed up wth Cheeky to create a DIY Wellness Tea Bar that can help get your body right back on track after a big meal. This modern tea bar will help your guests increase their energy levels, speed up digestion and replenish antioxidants that build the immune system.

Prep Talk

It’s all about picking fresh, quality ingredients and crafting a beautiful presentation. We focused on three common after-meal issues for our tea bar: digestion, detoxification and energy levels. Then we picked the freshest organic ingredients and paired them with our antioxidant-dense Tea Crystals. Here are the ingredients we suggest. Feel free to get creative by adding seasonal garnishes:

  • Fresh Mint – helps with digestion
  • Ginger (slice into strips) – anti-inflammatory
  • Lemon – antioxidant, acid neutralizer
  • Turmeric – anti-inflammatory
  • Raw Honey – probiotic
  • Cinnamon Sticks – blood sugar regulation
  • Vanilla – anti-inflammatory, antioxidant
  • Tea Crystals – antioxidant, L-Theanine, helps with digestion
  • Raw Cane Sugar
  • Soy Milk

Let’s Dish

Now it’s time to create your spread. We like to start by choosing the perfect glassware to set the mood. The easiest way to impress your friends in an instant is with Cheeky‘s amazing porcelain and paper good products. Every Cheeky piece is absolutely pin-worthy and will land you a ton of compliments. The best part is that their compostable paper products allow for quick set up and clean up. For our DIY Wellness Bar, we went with their Ojai Porcelain collection.

Start by setting out all of the plates, cups and ingredients you have so you can visualize your inventory. Play around with the placement until you find a layout that works for you. Flowers, place mats and other decorations can really make your DIY Wellness Tea Bar pop. Use small dishes or clear cups for the cinnamon sticks, soy milk, honey and sugar. The plates can be used for small deserts and any ingredients that don’t go in the cups. We kept the layout simple letting the beautiful colors of the fresh ingredients take the spotlight. Here is a quick recap of the supplies you will need:

  • Tea Cups
  • Small Plates
  • Small Cups for Ingredients
  • Spoons
  • Decorative Table Mat
  • Kettle

Right after you eat, invite your guests to drink a hot cup of tea. All of our Pique Tea Crystals contain antioxidants and a small amount of caffeine. Just open the sachet, empty the Tea Crystals into a cup and add hot water (not boiling) for a perfectly brewed cup. Add in different ingredients to enhance your brew. If digestion is the goal, use the Mint Sencha Tea Crystals, a dash of honey and muddled fresh mint. Looking to detox? Use any of our green teas and pair with lemon, ginger and a dash of turmeric. For those in need of an energy kick, mix any of our Black Tea Crystals with a cinnamon stick and a spoonful of raw honey.

Let’s pour it up! This tea bar is the perfect way to share the gift of health and wellness with your friends and family. We want to see your Wellness Tea Bar! Share your photos by tagging them with #piquetea.
