The Best Sea Salt Sprays

So with summer coming around and lots of people after the much coveted beach hair look I thought it would be a good time to compare some sea salt sprays available on the high street.

Bleach Swamp Spritz At £6 for 200ml, you can hardly go wrong with Bleach’s Swamp Spritz in terms of value for money. It’s good in that it takes very little to achieve a tousled look and the spray disperses evenly which means you don’t use too much of it. The only downside I found was when I first used it I sprayed a bit too much, and my hair felt ever so slightly sticky, so remember, less is more with this!

Toni and Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray Currently the Toni and Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray is only £4.99 for 200ml on the Superdrug website, so again it’s another bargain. I just wanted to try it out so I purchased the 75ml version which was even less of an expense if you’re just curious about trying it. I couldn’t find the 75ml version online apart from on Amazon, but I’m sure it’s still available in store. It’s slightly less effective than the Bleach Swamp Spritz, but it does work at giving the hair body and texture without leaving any unpleasant sticky residue in my hair.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray I think that the Bumble and bumble Surf Spray is possibly the closest thing to getting that “I’ve just been to the beach” hair in a bottle. It adds that grit that you find your hair gets when you’ve been to the beach, the same “je ne sais quoi” many sea salt sprays try to replicate but ends up making your hair a sticky mess. I bought the 50ml version which on the pricier side at £9.50, but if you’re willing to splash out on a sea salt spray that’s super effective, I’d definitely recommend this one. The only downside is, just like when you’ve been to the beach, your hair ends up a little drier than usual, so I’d recommend investing in a nourishing conditioner to counteract the drying effect.

What do you think of the above sea salt sprays? In your opinion, what is the best sea salt spray you’ve used?
