Mamy Factory
I randomly came across this darling boutique/showroom on a very unassuming little street in the 17th on the very edge of the Batignolles quarter. (Paris is full of unassuming streets that boast quietly of lovely little surprises!) The Mamy Factory is a brand of knitwear for babies and children, that is all HAND KNITTED by real GANDMAS!!!
Don’t have a grandma that knits? Don’t worry, Mamy Factory has bout 50 of them!!! With lush yarns, this perfectly stitched and quality controlled clothing that you can’t find in the department stores, is everything you would want in knitwear for you baby, or makes the perfect gift for someone you know who just had a baby. The designs are created by the Mamy Factory production team, and patterns and yarn is given to the grandmas who then make each piece by hand. Almost all of these lovely grandmas live in France, only a couple live in other close by countries. Made in France, made with love!
Mama Chérie is a talented knitter so Bébé Chéri is not lacking in handmade knitwear, but if he was, I would know exactly where to go!
