Bringing back my skinny cargo pants for Summer
The skinny cargo pants trend was incredibly popular back in 2010 and 2011, so much so that it literally overtook the denim world and jeans took a back seat. J Brand’s Houlihan pants were the most popular, being worn by absolutely everyone, and I still own three pairs of them! I wanted to do something with skinny cargo pants again as I think they are great for Summer, and even though they aren’t trending too much anymore, I still think they are so classic! Instead of wearing the Houlihan’s though, I went with my Rich & Skinny light green cargos as I loved these so much years ago.
I paired them with a simple burgundy tank top and then layered over my River Island Waterfall cardigan for some warmth. As I wanted to dress them up, I went with my Topshop Slick Platforms to add some height and length to my legs and then finally accessorised with my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Deer Brown. I thought it would be nice to do my hair different too, but I’m sure you can see this was before I had it cut, and I went with a lose side braid. I tend to always wear my hair down as my face looks weird with it up, in my opinion, but I quite like the loose braids. Even though I can’t do this anymore!
