The Duster Coat, A Cropped Top & High Rise Skinny Jeans

A cropped top with high rise skinny jeans and a duster coat

I’ve had quite a productive week so far. I’ve spent some time with my nan and grandad who I haven’t seen in a little while and as she’s one of my biggest career supporters, I always leave her house feeling inspired and happy. I find in life that not many people actually know what a blog is if they are from an older generation, so explaining what I do can be quite tricky (I usually just say I’m a writer/editor/model) as it’s easier to explain, but my nan couldn’t be more excited about what I do. She loves to make me go through my blogs pages, since my last visit, so she can see what I’ve been wearing and doing. I would love to know who some of your biggest supporters are? Family means a lot to me, but it’s not often that I talk about such personal things, so I thought it might be nice.

I’ve also been cleaning up my room, my clothes and everything else over the last few days. Making a lot of space as my room was starting to look like a junkyard. I don’t know how I end up making things a mess constantly, but I just do. I can tidy something up to be spotless and then within a couple of weeks, it’s messy again. As of now though, I am trying to keep my room really tidy and organised so I can actually find my clothes and not end up buying double of the same item! Do you have any tips on keeping things clean and tidy for a messy person? Ha ha.

Now getting to my outfit, Adam and I shot these photos a few weeks ago actually, but I hadn’t had the time to post them yet due to my busy schedule. I was wearing my Citizens of Humanity Rocket High Rise Skinny Jeans in Axel again (yes, I do adore these! They are the best black jeans, ever!) and I paired them with a Navy Cropped Top from Topshop, which I layered this Grey Check Duster Coat over, also from the brand, to keep me a little warmer. You might have noticed that I have a thing for cropped tops at the moment and higher waisted jeans or skirts. I never used to be into them at all, but I love the way they look now, I find they add an unexpected maturity to my looks. I finished the look off with my Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100 in Black and a Grey Hat from Topshop, along with some jewellery.

I was originally inspired by a look that I saw on The Blonde Salad for this one, although I made it completely different. I saw Chiara wearing a grey cropped top with a grey jacket and blue jeans, so I thought I would do my own take on it to fit my personality. I definitely feel like my style is changing a lot as the months go by, but I still love to wear my classic pieces too. I’m actually interested to see what kind of things I might like to wear when it’s warmer outside and how it’s going to vary from last year. Also, I’m trying something new with my outfit posts, I have featured the 4 key items from this outfit underneath my photos, so you can click the photos of them to purchase the pieces, as well as from the links just under the second photo. I hope it helps you with seeing how the products look! As always, I would love to know what you think of my outfit! I hope you other fashion bloggers and readers like it!
